Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on the situations. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston reporting and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss America's Pageant as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
